I request a prayer for my husband and his family, they are muslims, I’m a born again christian. please pray with me for them to know Christ, for all those christians that are in jails because of their faithfulness and unconditional love for Jesus and their families, also please pray for a miracle that not only my husband, his family to receive Jesus in their hearts but for all the muslims in the world get to know Jesus and receive Him as their ONE and ONLY SAVIOR and also for the restoration of my marriage, Thank you and God bless you….

While we’re not an official voice for the Assemblies of God, our ministry position is that we do not endorse the so-called “Chrislam” emphasis in any shape or form. Regarding the “emerging church” issue, again we do not speak in any official capacity for the Assemblies of God. However, our ministry position is that we clearly and unapologetically believe that salvation is in Jesus Christ – “the only name given among men whereby we must be saved.” For any official position, we kindly refer you to the national headquarters office of the General Council of the Assemblies of God.

We are new to the Assembly of God. Are we going to continue hearing Rick Warrens name and the Chrislam movement We will not have anything to do with this and need to understand Assemblies views on the emerging church.

Along the same line as your last comment – Allah is the Arabic word for God. Christian Arabs would certainly pray to Allah in the name of Isa.

A poster asked if Global Initiative: Reaching Muslim Peoples/the Assemblies of God had joined up with the “Christlam” movement because we call our weekly prayer focus on the Muslim world the Jumaa Prayer Fellowship. As Director, allow me to answer this. I trust it’s a sincere question.

First, the answer is no. The Assemblies of God nor Global Initiative has joined, supported or agreed with the “Christlam” movement.

Second, Arab, Pakistani and other non-Muslim/Christian peoples use the word “Jumaa” to refer to Friday. Therefore we are only using the word “Jumaa” to refer to the day we focus our prayers intentionally on the Muslim world. Jumaa is simply the Arabic word for Friday.
